Kuthpady is a village in Udupi district in the state of Karnataka .It is situated on the west coast of India. Located about 4.5Km from Udupi, 11Km from Manipal and about 10 Km from Malpe beach post, Kuthpady is a calm and peaceful place, perfect for an Ayurvedic Hospital and Pharmacy to be set up. It is in the Udupi Taluk of Udupi District. Tulu, Kannada, Konkani and Byari are the languages spoken in this part of state.
Initially an Ayurvedic Hospital was set up at Kuthpady with the intention to serve the community. In order to cater the needs of this Ayurvedic Hospital a pharmacy was set up in the same campus under the guidance of Sri Veerendra Heggade with the help of the Trust- Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Bhaishajya Prathishtana.
Udupi has a pleasant atmosphere that supports growth of herbs that are necessary for the preparation of ayurvedic medicine. The mineral resources needed in also sufficiently available in this region. Timely rain and weather condition also proves favourable.
